Grete Aad Fock kept the inn “Zur Fock” and wrote down the family tales between 1920 and 1970. Her private manuscript was called the Fockbeker Blätter, the Fockbek Papers. It remained in family hands until it was first prepared for digital publication in 2026. This page presents a selection of its stories.

Tradition and context

The notebooks belong to the literary family tradition of this chronicle. They are not a historical source outside its narrated world. Each published tale therefore names its notebook and allows the reader to see which of the three virtues is revealed in the conduct of its central figure.
